Lucy Coats
Lucy Coats is an English children's author born in April 1961 in Hampshire, England, known for retelling myths and legends from Greece, Rome, and other cultures in picture books, novels, poetry, and stories.[1][2][3] She studied English Literature and Ancient History at Edinburgh University, worked as a children's book editor in London and New York, and has published over 30 books since her debut *One Hungry Baby* in 1992, including popular series like *Beasts of Olympus* and *Atticus the Storyteller*.[1][2][3][4] Now a full-time writer living in Northamptonshire with her husband and two grown children, she also visits schools for storytelling and workshops.[1][3][6]
