Lucia Perillo

Lucia Perillo (1958–2016) was an American poet known for her candid, darkly humorous work on illness, suffering, mortality, and resilience. She published several poetry collections, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and received a MacArthur Foundation fellowship in 2000.
