Louis Klopsch

Louis Klopsch was a Prussian-born American journalist and philanthropist who immigrated to New York City as a child. He acquired and edited The Christian Herald, transforming it into a major platform for Christian news and social advocacy, while also conducting innovative fundraising campaigns for famine relief in India and China. Klopsch is best known for introducing the Red Letter Bible in 1899, which highlighted the words of Jesus Christ in red ink.
