Louis Borl

Louis L'Amour (born Louis Dearborn LaMoore) was an American author renowned for his Western novels and frontier stories, writing over 100 books with well-researched depictions of frontier life. He left home at 15 to travel the world as a hobo and laborer, gaining firsthand experiences that informed his writing, before achieving success with his first Western novel Hondo in 1953. L'Amour received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Congressional Gold Medal, and continued writing until his death.
