Lorenzo Waugh
Lorenzo Waugh (1808–1900) was an American Methodist minister, temperance advocate, and early California pioneer. Born in what is now Pocahontas County, West Virginia, he traveled over the plains to California in 1852, settled near Petaluma, and helped build the first Methodist Church there. He also founded the California Youth Association and published an autobiography recounting his life and work.
