Loreen Leedy
Loreen Leedy, born in Wilmington, Delaware in 1959, is a children's author and illustrator who majored in art in college before creating polymer clay jewelry and chess sets, which she later transformed into book characters at age 25. She has authored and illustrated over 40 picture books, many focusing on educational topics like math, science, social studies, and crafts, presented with humor to entertain and educate children. She lives in Florida, where she continues to write and illustrate full-time.
