Liselotte Dieckmann
Liselotte Dieckmann (1902–1994) was a German-American art historian and scholar of comparative literature who was born and educated in Germany, receiving her doctoral degree from the University of Heidelberg in 1927. She began her teaching career at the University of Istanbul before establishing herself as a distinguished scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, where she was one of the first women to achieve the rank of full professor and serve as a department chair.
