Lisa See
Lisa See is a New York Times bestselling author known for her historical novels exploring Chinese and Chinese-American experiences, such as Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Shanghai Girls, and Lady Tan’s Circle of Women. Born in Paris in 1955, she grew up in Los Angeles, spending significant time with her father's family in Chinatown, which inspired her debut book On Gold Mountain, a nonfiction account of her family's history. Her works, influenced by her Chinese heritage, often highlight women's relationships, resilience, and historical events in China.
