Lisa Genova

Lisa Genova is an American neuroscientist and New York Times bestselling author known for her novels exploring neurological disorders, such as her debut self-published work Still Alice (2007), which was adapted into an Oscar-winning film starring Julianne Moore. She graduated valedictorian summa cum laude from Bates College with a degree in biopsychology and holds a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard University. Acclaimed as the Oliver Sacks of fiction, her works include Left Neglected, Love Anthony, Inside the O'Briens, Every Note Played, and her newest novel More or Less Maddy (2025).
