Linda McNeil
Linda McSpadden McNeil (1943-2021) was an influential education scholar, co-founder and longtime director of Rice University's Center for Education, and professor in its Department of Education. She dedicated her career to addressing educational inequity, curriculum reform, and public school improvement, authoring seminal books like 'Contradictions of Control: School Structure and School Knowledge' and numerous peer-reviewed articles. McNeil earned her PhD from UW-Madison in 1977 and became a key figure in fostering school change through research and partnerships with educators and policymakers.[1][2][3]
