Linda Hayward, born June 6, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, is a prolific author of children's picture books, board books, and educational materials, including Sesame Street stories, dictionaries like The Sesame Street Dictionary, and Step into Reading titles such as Baby Moses, Noah's Ark, and The First Thanksgiving. She graduated from the University of California in 1965, worked as a teacher in New York and an editor for publishers, and resides in Naples, Florida.[1][4][5]
