Lin Lougheed
Dr. Lin Lougheed, born in 1946, is an author of over 40 EFL/ESP textbooks and test preparation materials, including titles like Barron's IELTS and Listening Between the Lines. He began his EFL career in 1968 as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkey (1968-70), earned a doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University, founded Instructional Design in 1983, and briefly served as a US Foreign Service Officer in 1980. With his husband Aaron I. Fleischman, he donated $75 million to the Art Institute, leading to the naming of the Aaron I. Fleischman and Lin Lougheed Building.
