Lesley Wheeler

Lesley Wheeler is an American poet, novelist, and literary scholar born in Baldwin, New York, and raised in New Jersey, now residing in Lexington, Virginia. She is the Henry S. Fox Professor of English at Washington and Lee University, where she teaches poetry, creative writing, and speculative fiction. Her works include poetry collections such as The State She’s In (2020), Radioland (2015), and Heterotopia (2010), the novel Unbecoming, and scholarly books like Voicing American Poetry (2008) and The Poetics of Enclosure (2002).
