Lesley Sims is a British children's author and editor known for her work with Usborne Publishing, where she has written and edited hundreds of books ranging from funny rhyming stories to award-winning history books.[1][3][5] She dreamed of being a writer from a young age, studied law at university and qualified as a barrister at her mother's insistence, and now serves as a managing editor for series like Young and First Reading.[2][3] She is also involved in recording books in Usborne's studio.[1]
