Leon Garfield
Leon Garfield was a British writer of fiction best known for his children's historical novels and literary retellings of myth, legend, and Shakespeare. Born in Brighton, he served in the British Army Medical Corps during World War II before building a long literary career that earned him major awards including the Guardian Prize and Carnegie Medal.
