Leo Wiener
Leo Wiener was a Russian-born American historian and linguist, known for his studies of Slavic culture and his role as the first translator of Leo Tolstoy's works into English. He was also the father of mathematician Norbert Wiener. His scholarship bridged European and American intellectual traditions in the early 20th century.
