Leo Rosten

Leo Rosten was a Polish-born American writer, humorist, and social scientist best known for his comic novels about Hyman Kaplan and for popular works on Yiddish, especially "The Joys of Yiddish." He wrote across multiple genres, including journalism, screenwriting, fiction, and nonfiction, and helped bring Yiddish expressions into wider English usage.
