Leo Perutz

Leo Perutz was an Austrian novelist and mathematician born in Prague in 1882. He is known for baroque, genre-crossing novels that mix history, fantasy, and the supernatural; after the Nazi Anschluss in 1938, he emigrated to Palestine and later died in Bad Ischl in 1957.
