Lenore Dekoven

Lenore DeKoven (1928-2024) was a distinguished director, producer, playwright, filmmaker, and educator whose career spanned theater, film, and television across the east and west coasts. She held executive positions at institutions like the Mark Taper Forum, N.Y. Shakespeare Festival, Lincoln Center Repertory Theater, National Repertory Theatre, Roundabout Theatre, and Theatre West, and taught acting and directing at UCLA, NYU, and Columbia University for over 20 years. She co-founded New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) and authored the book 'Changing Direction: A Practical Approach to Directing Actors in Film and Theatre,' recommended by Ang Lee.[1][2][3][4]
