Lennart Råde

Per Johan Lennart Råde was a Swedish docent in mathematical statistics at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and a prominent author of educational literature in mathematics. He co-authored influential handbooks such as 'Alfa - Matematisk handbok' (1982) and 'Mathematics Handbook for Science and Engineering' (1988, with Bertil Westergren), which became standard references in the field. Råde was also a leader in statistics education, serving as chairman of the SEFI Mathematics Working Group and contributing to the establishment of the International Association for Statistical Education (IASE).
