Leland W. K. Chung
Leland W. K. Chung (1940–2021) was a renowned basic and translational scientist widely considered a pre-eminent thought-leader in modeling and therapeutic targeting of prostate cancer metastasis, particularly to bone. He served as Director of the Urologic Oncology Research Program at Cedars-Sinai Cancer in Los Angeles for 12 years and was a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Surgery before dying of kidney cancer on May 10, 2021, at age 80.
