Lawrence H (Lawrence Hugh) 1 Aller

Lawrence Hugh Aller (1913–2003) was an American astronomer renowned for his pioneering work on the chemical composition of stars and nebulae.[1][3] Born in Tacoma, Washington, he entered UC Berkeley without finishing high school, earned his bachelor's degree there in 1936, and obtained his master's in 1938 and Ph.D. in 1942 from Harvard.[1][3] He served as a professor of astronomy at UCLA and made significant contributions to astrophysics.[3][7]
