Laurence Shames

Laurence Shames, born in Newark, New Jersey in 1951, is an American writer best known for his comic mystery series set in Key West, Florida, including the Key West Capers praised by The Los Angeles Times as 'funny, elegantly written, and hip.' A summa cum laude graduate of New York University in 1972 and former Esquire Ethics columnist, he has also achieved success as a ghostwriter for four New York Times bestsellers under different names and now lives in Ojai, California.[1][2]
