Lauren Book

Lauren Book, born October 12, 1984, in Hollywood, Florida, is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, best-selling author of 'It’s OK to Tell' (2011) and 'Lauren’s Kingdom' (2015), former classroom teacher, and founder/CEO of Lauren’s Kids since 2007, a nonprofit focused on preventing child sexual abuse through education and advocacy. She is a University of Miami alumna (B.A. 2008, M.S.Ed. 2012), five-time Emmy-winning producer, and served as a Florida State Senator for District 32 from 2016, advocating for over two dozen laws protecting children.
