Laura Purdie Salas
Laura Purdie Salas is an award-winning author of more than 125 books for children and teens, specializing in poetry and nonfiction, with notable works including Snowman – Cold = Puddle: Spring Equations, Lion of the Sky: Haiku for All Seasons, and Clover Kitty Goes to Kittygarten.[1][2][5] Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a magazine editor, 8th grade English teacher, and freelance writer, and she has taught writing classes and presented as a visiting author.[1][4] She attended kindergarten in Florida and now lives in Minnesota, where she continues to inspire kids and educators about reading and writing.[2][5]
