Laura Pratt

Laura Pratt is a long-time Canadian journalist, writer, and editor who has contributed to magazines for three decades and now primarily works as a book editor for self-publishing authors.[1][2] She is the author of two memoirs: *The Fleeting Years* (2004) and *Heartbroken: Field Notes on a Constant Condition* (2023, Penguin Random House Canada), and holds a 2020 MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of King’s College.[1][2] She lives in Toronto with her dog and family.[2][3]
