Lars Hojer

Lars Højer is a Danish anthropologist specializing in Inner Asia, particularly Mongolia, and anthropological theory. He earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2003 with a thesis on 'Dangerous Communications: enmity, suspense and integration in postsocialist Northern Mongolia' and has published monographs with Yale University Press. Currently, he serves as Deputy Head of Department and Head of the Center for Comparative Culture Studies at the University of Copenhagen, leading a research project on 'Escalations: A Comparative Ethnographic Study of Accelerating Change'.
