Larry Clark
Lawrence Donald Clark (born January 19, 1943) is an American film director, photographer, writer, and producer best known for his controversial photography book Tulsa (1971), which documented drug use, sex, and violence among Tulsa teenagers, and his debut film Kids (1995). His work often explores youth subcultures involving illegal drugs, underage sex, and violence, including films like Bully (2001), Ken Park (2003), and Marfa Girl (2012). Clark began photography as a teenager assisting his mother and gained notoriety with Tulsa after serving in the Vietnam War era.
