Larry Bossidy
Lawrence 'Larry' Bossidy was a prominent American business executive who spent 34 years at General Electric, rising to vice chairman, before becoming CEO of AlliedSignal in 1991 and later chairman and CEO of Honeywell International following their 1999 merger, retiring in 2002 after a brief return in 2001. He is renowned as a co-author of bestselling business books including *Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done* (2002) and *Confronting Reality: Doing What Matters to Get Things Right* (2004). A star pitcher in college who led his team to the 1955 College World Series, Bossidy was named CEO of the Year in 1994 and 1998 and served as a senior advisor at Cornell Capital until his death.
