L S 1836-1912 Trowbridge

Luther Stephen Trowbridge (1836–1912) was an American Civil War officer and author from Detroit, Michigan, best known for writing regimental histories of the Michigan cavalry, including A Brief History of the Tenth Michigan Cavalry (1905). He served in the 5th Michigan Cavalry and later the 10th Michigan Cavalry, rising to brevet brigadier general and brevet major general for meritorious service.
