L. M. (Lucy Maud) Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874–1942) was a Canadian author best known for *Anne of Green Gables*, the novel that made her internationally famous. She published 20 novels, more than a thousand short stories and poems, and many of her works are set on Prince Edward Island, where she grew up.[1][2]
