L. M. Falicov
Leopoldo Máximo Falicov was an Argentine theoretical physicist renowned for his pioneering work in condensed matter physics, including the development of the Falicov-Kimball theory and discoveries in magnetic breakdown and resonant photoemission. He held professorships at the University of Cambridge, the University of Chicago, and the University of California, Berkeley, where he served until his death in 1995.
