L. Edward Johndro

L. Edward Johndro (1882–1951), born Lorne Edward Johndro, was a prominent Canadian astrologer known for his highly technical writings and contributions to astrological theory, including introducing the vertex as an important point in astrological charts. He worked as an electrical engineer and radio engineer before dedicating his life to astrology, publishing books on the fixed stars and planetary rulership. Johndro died in San Diego, California, on November 11, 1951, shortly after his wife.
