Kwame Ture

Kwame Ture (formerly Stokely Carmichael) was a Trinidadian-American civil rights activist, writer, and orator who played a major role in the civil rights movement and the global pan-African movement. He is known for coining the slogan "Black Power" in 1966 and for his revolutionary work promoting Pan-African unity, eventually dedicating his life to the All-African People's Revolutionary Party after relocating to Guinea in 1969.
