Kory Floyd

Kory Floyd is a professor and chair of the Department of Human Development at Washington State University, with prior positions at the University of Arizona as Professor of Communication and Psychology. His research examines affectionate communication in close relationships, its physiological effects, and the impacts of affection deprivation and loneliness. He has authored 16 books, including 'The Loneliness Cure' and 'Affectionate Communication in Close Relationships,' along with over 100 scientific papers, and holds licenses as a mental health counselor.
