Konstantin Pavlov
Konstantin Pavlov (1933–2008) was a prominent Bulgarian poet, author, and screenwriter known for his defiance against the Communist regime, facing censorship and a ten-year publishing ban starting in 1966. Born near Sofia, he produced innovative poetry with satirical elements protesting totalitarianism and won the Grand Prix at the 1980 Karlovy Vary Film Festival for his screenplay *Illusion*. After communism's fall in 1989, he published extensively, including nine poetry volumes and collected works in 2002.
