Kimi Richardson
Kim Michele Richardson is a New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today bestselling author of historical fiction, including the acclaimed novel The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, as well as a memoir and children's picture books.[1][2][4] A native of Kentucky where she was born, raised, and still resides with her family, she founded the Shy Rabbit writers' residency and scholarship for low-income writers and has been recognized with honors such as an honorary Doctor of Humanities from Eastern Kentucky University in 2024.[1][4][6] Her works have been translated into over 18 languages and are widely taught in schools.[2]
