Kim Scott

Kim Scott is an Australian novelist of Aboriginal Australian ancestry, specifically a descendant of the Noongar people of Western Australia. He was born in Perth on February 18, 1957, and is the first Indigenous writer to receive the Miles Franklin Award for his novel 'Taboo'. His works, including 'True Country' and 'Benang', explore Aboriginal self-identity and Australian life.
