Kevin Fedarko
Kevin Fedarko is a New York Times bestselling author who has spent over twenty years writing about adventure, conservation, exploration, and the Grand Canyon.[2][4] He studied political science at Columbia University and Russian history at Oxford before working as a staff writer at Time magazine on the foreign affairs desk and later as a senior editor at Outside.[2][7] His notable works include The Emerald Mile (2013), which won the National Outdoor Book Award, and A Walk in the Park, which won the 2025 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction.[2][7]
