Kenneth Dean
Kenneth Dean (born 1956) is the Raffles Professor in the Humanities at the National University of Singapore and the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Professor at Yale-NUS College, previously serving as the James McGill Professor at McGill University.[1] He earned his B.A. in Chinese Studies from Brown University and Ph.D. in Asian Studies from Stanford University, specializing in Daoist studies, Chinese popular religion, popular culture, and Chinese literature.[1] Dean is the author of numerous books on Daoism and Chinese popular religion, including Ritual Alliances of the Putian Plains.[1]
