Kelly Bishop

Kelly Bishop, born Carole Jane Bishop, is an American actress and dancer best known for her Tony Award-winning role as Sheila Bryant in the musical A Chorus Line, as Marjorie Houseman in the film Dirty Dancing, and as Emily Gilmore in the TV series Gilmore Girls.[1][2][4] She began her career pursuing ballet in New York at age 18 and later transitioned to acting with roles in shows like Bunheads, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and others.[4] Bishop authored the memoir The Third Gilmore Girl.[3]
