Kazuo Iwamura

Kazuo Iwamura (1939-2024) was a renowned Japanese picture book author and illustrator, best known for creating the Squirrel series and the 14 Mice series. He studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and started his career illustrating children's television programs. His beloved books were originally published in Japan in the 1980s and have since been translated and distributed internationally.
