Katia Kapovich

Katia Kapovich is a bilingual Russian-American poet and prose writer born in Chişinău, Moldova, who emigrated from the Soviet Union in 1990 after being a member of a literary dissident movement. She now lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she writes in both Russian and English, has published ten Russian poetry collections and two volumes of English verse, and co-edits the poetry magazine Fulcrum with her husband, poet Philip Nikolaiev.
