Kathleen Winter

Kathleen Winter is a Canadian novelist, short story writer, and scriptwriter born in the north of England and raised in Newfoundland and Labrador. She worked as a scriptwriter for Sesame Street and a columnist for The Telegram in St. John's before achieving acclaim with her debut novel Annabel (2010), which was shortlisted for major prizes including the Scotiabank Giller Prize, Governor General’s Literary Award, and Orange Prize. After many years in Newfoundland, she now lives in Montreal.
