Kate Collins

Kate Collins is an Irish author of long-form and short fiction, born in West Cork, Ireland, who now lives and works in Oxfordshire. Her short fiction has been longlisted for the Bath Short Story Award, and her debut novel, A Good House for Children, was published by Serpent’s Tail in the UK and Mariner Books in the US, earning a longlisting for the Author’s Club Best First Novel Award 2024. She studied literature and medieval history at Lancaster University, holds a Master's in contemporary literary theory, and previously worked in trade and academic publishing.
