Kashmira Sheth

Kashmira Sheth was born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India, and immigrated to the United States at age seventeen to attend Iowa State University, where she earned a B.S. in microbiology. She worked as a microbiologist and taught Indian dance before becoming an acclaimed author of picture books, middle-grade novels, and young adult fiction, often drawing from her Indian heritage and experiences as an immigrant. Her notable works include Blue Jasmine, Keeping Corner, and the Nina Soni series.
