Karol Mysliwiec

Karol Myśliwiec is a Polish egyptologist and archaeologist born on November 3, 1943, in Jasło, known for his excavations at Saqqara in search of Imhotep's tomb and continuing Polish research on ancient Egypt.[1][2] He studied Mediterranean archaeology at Warsaw University under Kazimierz Michałowski, graduating in 1967, and has authored over 300 articles and 12-15 books on pharaonic Egypt's archaeology, history, art, and religion.[1][3] A professor at the University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University, he directed the Research Center for Mediterranean Archaeology PAS from 1982-2010 and is a full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2013.[3][4]
