Karen Russell
Karen Russell (born July 10, 1981) is an American novelist and short story writer known for her debut novel Swamplandia!, a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She is a MacArthur Fellow, a Guggenheim Fellow, and was named a 5 Under 35 honoree by the National Book Foundation in 2009. Her works blend fantastical elements with psychological realism, exploring themes of transformation and redemption.
