Karen Harper
Karen Harper (1945–2020) was a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author known for historical fiction, contemporary romantic suspense, and mysteries, including Elizabethan series featuring Queen Elizabeth I and Amish-themed novels.[1][2][5] Born in Toledo, Ohio, she taught high school English and at Ohio State University before becoming a full-time writer in 1984, publishing over 70 books with extensive research into settings like Tudor England and the British Isles.[2][3][5] She won the Mary Higgins Clark Award for Dark Angel and passed away after battling cancer.[1][6]
