Karen Frifelt
Karen Frifelt was a Danish archaeologist renowned for her leadership of excavations in the Arabian Gulf region, including a complete excavation of a tower at the Archaeological sites of Bat, Al-Khutm, and Al-Ayn in Oman[1]. She contributed significantly to the history of archaeological research in the United Arab Emirates alongside Beatrice de Cardi[3] and participated in the Danish Archaeological Expedition's campaigns in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi during the early 1960s[4]. She is also associated with publications on Bahrain history[2].
